The 2026 Youzhou Ancient Trail Ultra Trail offers a breathtaking journey through some of North China's most stunning landscapes. Location
The race is based in Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, specifically at the Tianmo Natural Scenic Area. This location serves as both the start and finish for most categories, providing a dramatic desert backdrop. The course extends through the surrounding regions, including the Guanting Reservoir area and the Youzhou Grand Canyon, showcasing the natural and historical highlights of the area.
Getting There
For the 2026 event, transportation options include:
- From Beijing: Take a high-speed train to Huailai Railway Station (about 1-2 hours), then a local bus or taxi to Tianmo Natural Scenic Area (30-60 minutes). Driving from Beijing takes approximately 2-3 hours.
- From Zhangjiakou: Drive or take a bus to Huailai County (1-2 hours), then proceed to the race venue. Accommodation is available in Huailai County, with some options near the start area. It's recommended to book early due to the event's popularity.
