Getting There
- Fly ✈️: Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL) receives flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and other major cities. From the airport, take a taxi or rideshare to Guilin city (~30 min), then a bus or rideshare to Longsheng County (~2 hrs, ~100 km). From Longsheng town, continue to the Longji Terrace Scenic Area (~30 min, ~30 km).
- High-speed rail 🚄: Guilin North Railway Station connects to Guangzhou (~2.5 hrs), Changsha, and the national high-speed network. From the station, take a bus or rideshare directly to Longsheng (~2 hrs).
Overview
The Longji Terraces Trail Running Race is Guangxi's premier trail running event, winding through the Longji Terraced Fields National Wetland Park in Longsheng County, Guilin. Courses pass landmarks including Golden Buddha Peak, the Thousand-Layer Sky Stairs, and the Seven Stars with Moon viewpoint, threading through centuries-old Zhuang and Yao minority villages. The flagship 100km (Qingtian) runs overnight from September 26 into September 27, covering 6,000 meters of cumulative gain.
Location
Start and finish at Jīnkēng Dàzhài Parking Lot within the Longjǐ Terrace Scenic Area, Longsheng Autonomous County. The terraced fields, carved from steep mountain slopes over 650 years ago by the Red Yao people, are one of China's most celebrated cultural landscapes and a registered national wetland park.
Mandatory Gear
Mandatory gear checks will be executed prior to packet pickup, at the starting grid, and dynamically during the race. Participants with missing or substandard gear will be barred from starting or ordered to withdraw. The Organizing Committee reserves the administrative right to mandate additional weather-specific gear based on meteorological forecasts.
Mandatory Gear Inspections occur:
- Pre-race: Packet pickup and starting line inspection.
- In-race: Drop-bag zones and random spot-checks at designated Checkpoints (CP).
- Post-race: Mandatory inspection for the top 10 male and female finishers in all categories; random spot-checks for other finishers.
