- The track is approximately 52.6 kilometers long, with a cumulative elevation gain of about 4,237 meters and a cumulative descent of about 4,237 meters. The starting point is at an altitude of about 2,512 meters and the highest point is at an altitude of about 4,560 meters.
- Eligibility requires: 50km+ high-altitude trail race(avg. >3000m) or 70km+ trail finish (2025–present).
Overview
The 2026 Minya Konka Trail features four distances: 8km, 18km, 30km, and 50km, all starting and finishing at Kangding Qingge Square. The courses offer a mix of urban streets, forest trails, and high-altitude mountain paths, with the 50km reaching a maximum altitude of 4,560 meters. Runners will experience the unique culture of the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and breathtaking views of the Minya Konka (Gongga) massif.
Location
Kangding Qingge Square, Kangding City, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Kangding is a historic town at the gateway to the Tibetan Plateau, known for its rich cultural heritage and as the inspiration for the famous folk song "Kangding Qingge."
Getting There
- Self-drive 🚗: Navigate to "Kangding Qingge Square" via Autonavi/Baidu Maps. 255 km from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport via National Road 318. Reserve 3-4 hours.
- Bus 🚌: Book via "Sichuan Bus Ticketing Network"(四川汽车票务网) WeChat account. Choose Chengdu Xin Nanmen Bus Station(成都新南门车站) to Kangding Bus Station(康定汽车站). Multiple trips daily.

- Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, and basic food. No disposable cups; athletes must use their own cup.
- Drop bags are allowed for 50km and 30km groups at designated stations.
