Hello from the Trails,

We're RunEast -- a small team of runners based in China, united by a simple obsession: exploring the wildest, most beautiful events this country has to offer.

Why We Built This

China is home to some of the most spectacular mountain ranges on Earth. From the snow-capped 5,000m peaks of Sichuan to the ancient tea trails of Yunnan, but good luck finding information about them if you don't read Chinese. We got tired of explaining the same races to friends visiting from abroad.

So we made a website.

Our Mission

We built RunEast.app to share our discoveries with the world. We translate race info, figure out the logistics, and try to answer the questions you'd ask a local friend: Is this race worth it? How hard is the registration? Where should I stay the night before?

We just want more people to run these races with us.

Our Picks

We've run a lot of these courses ourselves. Some were great. Some aren't worth an international flight. We don't list every trail race in China -- we pick the ones worth the flight: good terrain, well-organized, somewhere you'd actually want to be.
