RunEast is an information platform that helps international runners discover trail running events in China. We aggregate and present event information, logistics guides, and registration links to make it easier for runners to find and participate in events.
Event Information
We make every effort to keep event information accurate and up-to-date. However, event details (including dates, prices, routes, and logistics) are sourced from third-party event organizers and are subject to change without notice. Always verify critical details directly with the event organizer before making travel arrangements.
Event Registration
When you register for an event through RunEast, you are entering into an agreement with the event organizer, not with RunEast. We facilitate the registration process but are not a party to the contract between you and the organizer. Refund policies, cancellation terms, and event rules are set by each event organizer.
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for verifying event details and assessing your own fitness and ability to participate.
- You are responsible for obtaining any necessary visas, permits, or travel documents for entering China.
- You agree to provide accurate information when using our contact form, newsletter signup, or event registration.
Limitation of Liability
RunEast is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our website, reliance on event information, or participation in any event listed on our platform. This includes, but is not limited to, travel expenses, injuries, or losses resulting from event cancellations or changes.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

When you register for an event through RunEast, you acknowledge and agree to the following declaration:
I declare that all information provided in this registration is true and accurate, and I take full responsibility for its authenticity. I understand that false declarations may result in cancellation, disqualification, and legal liability.
This declaration applies to every field you complete during registration, including but not limited to identity details, contact information, nationality, passport or ID number, emergency contact, and any race certificates, medical declarations, or qualifications you submit.

RunEast ("we", "us", or "our") operates the RunEast website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Contact form submissions: When you send us a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.
- Newsletter subscriptions: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
- Event registration: When you register for an event through our platform, we collect the information you provide in the registration form (such as your name, email, nationality, and emergency contact details).

AI Chat Assistant (Runny)
Our website features an AI-powered chat assistant called Runny on event pages. When you use Runny:
- Conversation data: Your messages are processed by third-party AI services to generate responses. Conversations are not stored on our servers — they exist only in your browser during the session.
- Email submission: If you provide your email address in the chat, it will be forwarded to our team along with the conversation history so we can follow up on your inquiry. Your email will not be added to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
- Page context: The chat assistant can see which event page you are viewing to provide relevant answers.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and messages
- To send you our newsletter (if you subscribed)
- To facilitate event registration and share your details with event organizers
- To improve our website and user experience
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:
- Event organizers: When you register for an event, your registration details are shared with the respective event organizer to process your entry.

Event Information Accuracy
RunEast aggregates event information from third-party organizers and public sources. While we strive to keep all information accurate and current, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of event details including but not limited to: dates, pricing, route descriptions, elevation profiles, ITRA/UTMB points, and registration deadlines.
Logistics Guides
Our logistics guides (including transportation options, hotel recommendations, and travel tips) are provided for informational purposes only. Transportation schedules, hotel availability, and local conditions may change. We recommend verifying all travel arrangements independently before your trip.
Health and Safety
Trail running, particularly at altitude and in remote areas, carries inherent risks. RunEast does not assess or guarantee the safety of any event. Participants should consult a medical professional before participating, carry appropriate gear, and follow all event safety guidelines.

Currency and Pricing
Event prices are displayed in both CNY and USD for convenience. USD amounts are approximate conversions and may not reflect the actual amount charged. Always confirm pricing with the event organizer.
Transportation Services

These terms apply when you book airport transfers, meet-and-greet pickups, or other ground transportation through RunEast. They are in addition to our Terms of Service.
Scope of Services
RunEast is a technology platform that connects users with independent, third-party transportation providers. RunEast does not provide transportation services, does not own or operate vehicles, and does not employ drivers. The transportation itself is provided by the independent third-party provider, not by RunEast.
Booking and Quotes
When you request a ride, RunEast shows an estimated price based on a quote from a third-party mobility provider. This estimate includes a buffer for variable costs such as surge pricing, tolls, and coordination. The price shown when you book is fixed for that booking and will not change afterward. After payment, RunEast arranges fulfillment with a third-party transportation provider and confirms the details with you by email. RunEast does not guarantee the availability of any particular provider, vehicle type, or driver.
Payment
Ride bookings are priced and charged in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) through our payment processor. Your payment is authorized when you book and captured when the booking is confirmed. The amount you pay covers the third-party transportation fee together with RunEast's coordination and service fee.
Cancellations and Changes
If you need to change or cancel a booking, contact RunEast as soon as possible. Because rides are fulfilled by third-party providers, cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on how far in advance you notify us and on the provider's own terms. RunEast may cancel a booking if a suitable provider cannot be arranged, in which case you will be refunded.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations, contact details, flight number, and passenger information.
- Be available and ready at the agreed pickup location and time.
- Treat drivers and vehicles with respect and comply with all applicable laws during the ride.
- Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Third-Party Providers
RunEast does not control, direct, or supervise third-party transportation providers, and they are not agents or employees of RunEast. Any issue with the conduct, quality, safety, or timeliness of the transportation is between you and the provider. RunEast will make reasonable efforts to assist, but is not a party to the transportation itself.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Transportation services arranged through RunEast are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunEast is not liable for the acts or omissions of any third-party transportation provider, for delays, missed flights or connections, or for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the transportation service. RunEast's total liability in connection with any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
Changes to These Terms
RunEast may update these Transportation Services terms from time to time. Continued use of the ride-booking service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
