100K, 70K, and 50K Categories: Participants must be between 18 and 63 years of age inclusive (date of birth falling after October 31, 1963, and prior to October 31, 2008).
20K Category: Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age inclusive (date of birth falling after October 31, 1961, and prior to October 31, 2008).
10K Hiking Category: Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age inclusive (date of birth falling after October 31, 1961, and prior to October 31, 2008). Minors applying for registration must be accompanied by a legal guardian who has actively registered for the same category. Accompanying guardians must satisfy the 18 to 65 age bracket requirement.
100K Category: Completion of at least one $70\text$ or longer trail race, OR at least two $50\text$ or longer trail races within the preceding 12-month period.
70K Category: Completion of at least one $50\text$ or longer trail race, OR at least two $40\text$ or longer trail races within the preceding 12-month period.
50K Category: Completion of at least one $50\text$ or longer trail race, OR at least two full marathon ($42.195\text$) or longer running competitions within the preceding 12-month period.
20K Category: Completion of at least one $15\text$ or longer trail race, OR at least one half-marathon or longer running competition within the preceding 24-month period.
Trail running requires sustained physical exertion. Applicants must be in optimal health, have established a long-term running training baseline, and select their category in direct alignment with their physical capacities. Individuals presenting with any of the following medical profiles are legally and medically barred from participation:
Congenital heart disease or rheumatic heart disease;
Registration and Payment Window: Open immediately on a first-come, first-served basis until entry quotas are completely exhausted.
Qualification Audit Period: Completed within 7 business days following successful submission and payment.
Audit Disapproval Refund Window: Processed and returned within 3 business days from the date of the applicant receiving an audit rejection notice.
Because logistical assets and specialized athlete race kits are custom-manufactured in direct accordance with specific participant metrics provided during application, no refunds or entry transfers will be accommodated once an applicant secures formal race entry authorization. In the event of a confirmed absence, participants may coordinate with official Event Customer Support to request post-race package delivery (comprising the official race jersey, kit bag, etc.). All shipping and handling costs shall be borne strictly by the athlete on a cash-on-delivery (COD) basis.
Race gear represents the final line of structural defense ensuring participant survival in wilderness settings. Competitors must continuously carry all designated items. Failure to do so will prompt direct disqualification. The OC explicitly reserves the authority to introduce additional mandatory gear classifications or modify technical volume thresholds up until the morning of the event based on forecasted macro or microclimatic shifts.
The technical referee panel will position mobile and fixed gear checkpoints at the primary staging grounds and along random coordinates throughout the course. Refusal to submit to a gear inspection at any junction constitutes an automatic breach of regulations and results in immediate disqualification.
Check-In and Assembly: Competitors must enter the designated assembly corral 45 minutes prior to their category's wave release. Initial electronic check-in verifies the functional presence of the assigned bib, integrated timing chips, and active GPS tracking systems.
Bib Display: The assigned race bib must be continuously affixed to the front exterior plane of the competitor's torso. It must remain clearly visible and un-obscured by outerwear, backpack straps, or gear at all times.
Station Check-In Requirements: Upon entering any official checkpoint or aid station, runners must present themselves to the electronic or manual timing judges. Runners reaching or departing an aid station after its official cut-off time will be declared out-of-race and are strictly prohibited from re-entering the course.
Hardware Failure Contingency: In the event of an on-course loss or mechanical failure of timing hardware, the runner must report the anomaly to the timing official at the immediate next aid station to initiate manual log tracking. Failure to self-report will invalidate subsequent segment data.
Referee Authority and Mandatory Inspection: Runners are required to fully comply with equipment spot-checks conducted by aid station marshals. Refusing an inspection or presenting missing mandatory gear will result in immediate mandatory withdrawal from the event.
Voluntary Retirement (DNF) Protocols: Runners electing to drop out due to physical exhaustion, systemic illness, or injury must immediately notify the station master at the nearest aid station to formally process their retirement. Once processed, the retired runner must remain at the station and follow staff instructions regarding evacuation transit.
Emergency Mid-Course DNF: If an elite emergency force-majeure requires a runner to withdraw between stations without immediate access to staff, they must notify the OC immediately via the emergency contact numbers listed on the bib or report directly to the primary finish venue.
Initiating an emergency call for medical aid or rescue extraction transfers the runner's self-determination right to the OC. The runner agrees to fully abide by any medical or logistical decision executed by the response staff.
Specific cut-off values are established for each station based on local terrain severity and environmental safety margins. Runners must execute their exit check-out before the station clock expires.
Cut-off windows may be altered mid-race due to severe weather developments or authorized race delays. Runners must strictly obey any modified schedule announced by station staff.
Chip Timing Systems: The race utilizes automated electronic chip timing. The chip is structurally integrated into the bib assembly. Competitors are solely responsible for ensuring the chip is not creased, shielded, or structurally compromised; failure to capture data due to improper placement will void the race result.
Unannounced Checkpoints: The OC reserves the right to deploy unannounced, mobile timing mats at random trail intersections. Data from these points will be used to verify course compliance.
Check-In Compliance: Runners must log a valid entry timestamp at all designated timing mats within the specified cut-off windows. Failure to trigger a mat will result in an automatic "Did Not Finish" (DNF) status.
Data Discrepancy Window: If a timing error occurs due to hardware failure or severe weather interference, the runner can file a data correction request. The runner must provide clear GPS track logs or photographic proof within 24 hours of the final category closure. Late requests will not be considered.
Official Ranking Metric:
Official final rankings are calculated using Net Time.
All runners must cross the primary start line within 15 minutes of the official start horn. Runners crossing the start mat more than 15 minutes late will be marked as "Did Not Start" (DNS), and their performance will be invalidated.
If severe weather triggers the use of an emergency contingency route, runners completing the altered course will be ranked sequentially behind those who completed the original, full-distance course.
If the race is permanently halted by a circuit-breaker trigger, unranked competitors will receive completion certificates but will not be eligible for podium awards or cash prizes.
Runners who breach the event regulations will face penalties tailored to the severity of the infraction, ranging from verbal warnings to permanent disqualification.
Issued for minor infractions without intent to cheat, including:
Involuntary or accidental rule infractions;
Field referees identifying a potentially dangerous maneuver;
Field referees identifying an imminent, unintentional rule infraction;
Infractions that provide no measurable competitive or mechanical advantage.
Issued for serious infractions, including:
Intentionally deviating from the marked course track or taking shortcuts to gain a competitive advantage;
Deliberately blocking, physically impeding, or endangering another competitor;
Littering or discarding wrappers, bottles, or organic waste along the trail;
Missing a sequential check-in station or failing to follow the required timing order;
Failing a mandatory gear check or refusing to carry required safety equipment.
Issued for egregious or illegal actions, including:
Utilizing motorized vehicles, draft animals, or external mechanical assistance;
Disobeying a cut-off directive and forcing entry onto a closed trail section;
Refusing to comply with a direct instruction or ruling from an event referee or official;
Abusing, overloading, or intentionally misusing emergency medical and rescue infrastructure;
Engaging in verbal abuse, insults, or physical altercations with staff or other competitors;
Using a proxy runner or carrying multiple timing chips; both the registered applicant and the proxy runner will face maximum penalties;
Intentionally damaging, moving, or destroying course markers, directional signs, flags, or safety lights;
Any competitor wishing to contest a referee ruling or timing result must submit a formal written appeal via email to the official jury at theskylineseries@163.com. The arbitration board will review the submission and issue a formal determination within 24 hours of receipt.
The OC offers secure baggage storage at the primary start venue.
Competitors must securely attach their corresponding small baggage tag to their bag and present their primary race bib to staff for validation.
Bags can only be reclaimed at the finish line by presenting the corresponding race bib for validation.
Prohibited Items: Storage of high-value personal electronics, jewelry, fragile materials, flammable liquids, or explosive compounds is strictly prohibited. The OC is not liable for the loss or damage of high-value items.
The OC will transport one designated mid-race drop bag to the designated intermediate transition station. This drop bag will be returned to the main venue for retrieval after the category closes.
Runners who drop out (DNF) before reaching the transition station can reclaim their drop bag at the finish venue after the category closes.
Runners must use the standardized, high-durability drop bag provided by the OC during check-in. Personal bags will not be accepted for transport.
The small matching bib tag must be firmly secured to the drop bag handle.
Prohibited Items: Valuable electronics, cash, fragile objects, or hazardous items must not be placed in the drop bag.
The course route will be continuously marked using high-visibility hanging ribbons, pin flags, retro-reflective tape, strobe lights, direction arrows, and large A-frame signs.
The official GPX digital track file will be published prior to the event. All competitors must download this file onto their sports watches or mobile phones.
Navigation Rule: If a competitor travels more than 100 meters without spotting a physical course marker, they must stop, check their digital GPX track, and backtrack to the last confirmed marker.
The event strictly enforces the "Assumption of Risk" (自甘风险) doctrine codified under Article 1176 of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China.
By entering the race, participants acknowledge that trail running involves inherent dangers. If a participant suffers harm due to the actions of another competitor during the event, the injured party waives the right to seek damages or assert tort liability against the other competitor, unless the harm was caused intentionally or through gross negligence. The liability of the event organizers is governed explicitly by the statutory standards regulating safety and security responsibilities for public activities.
If the course becomes unsafe during the event due to extreme weather, mudslides, structural damage, or public safety emergencies, the OC will activate the official Circuit-Breaker Mechanism. Upon activation, the race will be halted, and runners will be notified via SMS, public broadcast, and aid station marshals regarding evacuation logistics and entry fee processing.

The OC reserves the right to issue supplementary notices for any matters not covered by these regulations. The power of final interpretation of these competition regulations rests exclusively with the Around Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Super Ultra-Trail Organizing Committee.
Hypertension or cerebrovascular/vascular disease;
Myocarditis or acute myocardial pathologies;
Coronary artery disease (CAD) or severe cardiac arrhythmia;
Moderate-to-severe chest pain (angina pectoris) induced by minor exertion;
Unstable diabetes mellitus prone to severe hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia;
Infection by acute upper respiratory tract illness (cold/flu) or abnormal body temperature within 14 days prior to the race;
Symptomatic sleep deprivation or alcohol intoxication within 24 hours prior to start;
Pregnancy;
Any alternative medical diagnosis rendering physical exertion dangerous.
Liability Disclaimer: Any personal physical injury, systemic impairment, or subsequent property damage arising from personal health concealment or individual physical negligence during the event shall be borne exclusively by the participant. The Organizing Committee (OC) mandates that all applicants complete a clinical health evaluation at an authorized medical institution and execute a meticulous self-assessment prior to registration.
Pursuant to the Competition Rules for Mountain Trail Running Races issued by the Chinese Mountaineering Association (CMA), all competitors across all categories must submit a formal clinical health report during registration check-in. This report must be issued by a county-level hospital or higher medical facility within the past 12 months and contain a comprehensive Electrocardiogram (ECG) profile.

Official List of Recommended Gear: Trekking poles, performance UV sunglasses, wide-brim sun hat/visor, multi-functional buff, thermal long pants for night sections, heavy-duty phone waterproof sleeve, dedicated GPS navigation sports watch, external power bank, personal sanitation wipes, and liquid cash.
All assets defined within the mandatory ledger must be carried on the participant’s person across the entire course.
For safety reasons, consumables (such as survival blankets, emergency medical kits, or nutrition wrappers) may only be discarded or replaced at official aid stations by presenting the spent container or old gear to the referee panel.
Medical Override Discretion: On-course medical doctors, event field nurses, and certified rescue technicians hold ultimate medical veto power. If a runner is deemed medically unfit to safely continue, they will be subject to a mandatory withdrawal directive and routed to clinical triage.
Course Integrity and Fair Play: Runners must progress exclusively via their own physical power. Utilizing any mechanical or motorized transport, shortcutting, or intentionally leaving the marked route will lead to immediate disqualification upon verification by staff or photo/video evidence.
Identity Fraud and Entry Transfer Prohibition: The unauthorized transfer of race numbers, chips, or tracking devices to any third party is illegal. The registered applicant and the unauthorized runner assume full joint liability for any medical emergency, rescue cost, or insurance claim denial. Both parties will receive a lifetime ban from the series.

Podium Requirements: The top five male and female finishers in each category must attend the official protocol awards ceremony. Competitors are strictly prohibited from bringing non-event commercial banners or unauthorized promotional materials onto the podium; non-compliance will result in the forfeiture of all prize money.
Disbursal and Taxation: Physical trophies and products will be awarded on-site. Cash earnings will be disbursed electronically following a 7-day public review period. Pursuant to the Individual Income Tax Law of the People's Republic of China, all cash prizes are subject to a 20% withholding tax, which will be deducted directly by the OC.
Completion Certificates: Runners who successfully complete their course within the designated cut-off windows will be authorized to download their official performance certificate via the event portal within 24 hours of the race conclusion.
Damaging cultural relics, historical sites, protected structures, or natural features within the nature reserve;
Engaging in behavior that compromises public safety, severely disrupts event operations, or violates national security laws.
The OC retains full authority to modify course configurations, start windows, or cut-off times at any point due to safety considerations.
Official aid stations provide nutrition, hydration, and medical rest areas. Access is restricted to runners wearing an official bib and security wristband.
Stations are categorized by function (e.g., hydration only, hot food, medical triage); specific details will be published in the pre-race guide. Competitors must manage their personal hydration levels between stations based on the terrain profile and weather conditions.
Station Medical Teams: Station locations are staffed with ambulances, emergency physicians, trauma nurses, and medical volunteers trained to stabilize patients and coordinate emergency transport to regional hospitals.
Mobile Rescue Groups: Technical mountain rescue technicians and specialized off-road vehicles are stationed at high-risk trail zones to respond to accidents.
Advise any competitor to withdraw if they exhibit signs of severe physiological distress;
Administer immediate medical care or extraction to any runner determined to be in danger;
Direct runners to medical clinics suited to their clinical condition.
Competitors must answer honestly and cooperate fully if questioned about their physical condition by medical staff.
Runners requiring emergency extraction should call the emergency telephone number printed on their bib to coordinate a rescue response.
Response Time Notice: Delays are expected when deploying rescue teams to remote alpine areas. Runners must utilize their mandatory gear (such as emergency blankets, waterproof jackets, and warm layers) to remain warm and stable while waiting for help.
Safety personnel are stationed at critical checkpoints along the route. Competitors experiencing mild illness or distress should report directly to them.
The OC coordinates with regional hospitals to provide priority medical admission for injured runners. All clinical treatment, surgery, and hospital admission costs must be paid directly by the treated runner. Post-event reimbursement claims can be submitted to the insurance provider according to policy terms.
Emergency Resource Directives: Emergency rescue resources are reserved for life-threatening situations. Runners experiencing muscle cramps, superficial abrasions, or mild fatigue should manage their symptoms independently and proceed to the next aid station for basic treatment.
Dedicated shuttle vehicles are stationed at designated cut-off points to transport withdrawn or cut-off runners back to the main venue.
Some remote aid stations have limited road access, which may result in longer wait times for evacuation. Disqualified or retired runners must remain patient while staff coordinate transport.
The OC reserves the authority to modify routes, adjust start times, or implement a complete race cancellation (Circuit Breaker) in response to force majeure or extreme weather threats.
Race Suspension: If a race is suspended, timing logs are paused. All runners must proceed to the nearest aid station or designated severe weather shelter and await further instructions from staff.
Competitors are required to monitor their mobile devices for official text alerts and emergency updates from the OC.
Organizer Liability Insurance: The OC maintains a comprehensive event liability policy covering all event staff, race volunteers, and registered runners.
Personal Accident Insurance: Registered competitors are covered under a specialized commercial group accident policy. However, claims for bodily injury or death caused by chronic, pre-existing, or congenital medical conditions are excluded from coverage. Competitors assume full financial responsibility for such events and are encouraged to purchase additional individual coverage if needed.
