Overview
Encircling Mt. Yulong (Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, 玉龙雪山), this race takes runners through Naxi ethnic villages and alpine meadows above 3,700m with views of permanent glaciers. It is part of the SKYLINE Tianji Trail Series, one of China's leading ultra trail circuits, with five distances from a 10km hiking course to a 101km ultra.
Location
The race starts from Yuhu Village (玉湖村), a traditional Naxi settlement at 2,739m on the eastern flank of Mt. Yulong, Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang, Yunnan. The highest point reaches 3,741m on the 100km route.
Getting There
- Fly ✈️: Lijiang Sanyi International Airport (LJG) serves direct flights from many major cities. From the airport, take a taxi or rideshare (~30 min) into Lijiang city, then continue to Yuhu Village (~30 min, ~20km north of the city centre).
- High-speed rail 🚄: Lijiang Railway Station is connected to Kunming (~2.5 hrs) and the national high-speed network. Taxis and rideshares from the station to Yuhu Village take approximately 30–40 minutes.
Mandatory Gear
(A) Rules
- Gear must be presented at packet pickup; failure will result in no race materials.
- Gear must be carried throughout the race. Spot checks are mandatory.
- Consumable items (emergency blanket, energy food, first-aid kit) may be replaced at aid stations with empty packaging/old items.
- The organizing committee may add gear requirements based on weather.
