About the Race
Now in its 11th edition, Tsaigu Trail is a closed-loop ultra starting and finishing at XingShanMen Plaza in Linhai, set against the steep terrain of the Kuocang Mountains. The 105K route climbs roughly 6,677m, making it one of the more demanding courses on the Chinese ultra calendar, while the 50K and 25K offer shorter but still substantial mountain outings. All three distances carry ITRA performance-index entry requirements, reflecting the race's standing as a qualifying event on the international trail calendar.
Location
Linhai is an ancient city in Zhejiang province best known for the Jiangnan Great Wall, a Ming-dynasty fortification whose design is considered a forerunner to the Great Wall of China. Framed by the Kuocang Mountains inland and the Zhejiang coast nearby, the city gives the race its dual mountain-and-coast character.
