About the Race
The Chongyi 100 Ultra Trail runs through the mountains of Chongyi County in southern Jiangxi, a county anchored by Qiyun Mountain — at 2,061m the highest peak in southern Jiangxi — and the old-growth forest of Yangling National Forest Park. The flagship 100km distance climbs 5,458m against a 30-hour cutoff, with 50km, 30km, and 10km distances offering shorter alternatives. Elite ITRA-ranked runners (Performance Index ≥750 men / ≥620 women) can enter the 100km or 50km for free through a dedicated fast-track.
Location
Chongyi County sits in the mountainous southwest corner of Jiangxi Province, within Ganzhou prefecture near the Hunan border. The area is known locally for Qiyun Mountain's alpine meadows, near-daily cloud seas, and clear night skies — often called "Jiangxi's second Wugong Mountain" — as well as the dense bamboo forest and rainforest gorges of Yangling National Forest Park. The race starts and finishes at Sanli Square in the county seat.
Reward
Top 6 men and top 6 women in the 100km, 50km, and 30km are awarded prize money (CNY); the top 3 in each also receive a trophy at the awards ceremony. The 10km has no ranking prizes. A 20% personal income tax is withheld from cash prizes per Chinese law.
